Family Members
The Family Members section shows everyone who currently has access to help manage your HelperGen account. Each member displays their name, email address, relationship, and current access level badge (View Access or Full Helper).
Use the Invite Member button at the top right to add a new family member. If no one has been added yet, the section shows a message indicating there are no family members.
Inviting a Family Member
To invite someone to help manage your account:
- Click Invite Member at the top right of the Family Members section
- Enter their email address (required)
- Enter their phone number (optional)
- Select an access level — View Access or Full Helper (see Access Levels below)
- Read the Family Invitation Send Agreement shown in the form and tick the checkbox to confirm you agree
- Click Send Invitation
The Send Invitation button is disabled until you have accepted the agreement. The invitation is sent to the email address you provided. Once the recipient accepts, they appear in your Family Members list.
Access Levels Explained
When inviting a family member you choose one of two access levels:
View Access
- Can view your jobs, payments, and messages
- Cannot create, edit, or make any changes
- Suitable for a family member who only needs to stay informed
Full Helper
- Can post jobs on your behalf
- Can manage payments and communicate with providers
- Cannot edit your profile or account settings
- Suitable for a family member who will actively manage your jobs for you
You can change a member's access level at any time after they have accepted the invitation.
Editing a Member's Permissions
To change the access level for an existing family member:
- Find the member in the Family Members list
- Click Edit Permissions next to their name
- Select the new access level — View Access or Full Helper
- Click Save Permissions
The change takes effect immediately. Click Cancel at any time to discard the change without saving.
Removing a Family Member
To remove a family member's access:
- Find the member in the Family Members list
- Click Remove next to their name
- Confirm the removal in the dialog that appears
The member is removed immediately and can no longer access your account. This action cannot be undone, but you can invite them again at any time.
Pending Invitations
The Pending Invitations section shows invitations you have sent that have not yet been accepted. For each invitation you can see:
- Email — the address the invitation was sent to
- Invited on — the date the invitation was sent
- Expires on — the date after which the invitation can no longer be accepted
Once someone accepts your invitation they move out of this list and appear in the Family Members section above.
Cancelling an Invitation
To cancel a pending invitation before it is accepted:
- Find the invitation in the Pending Invitations section
- Click Cancel Invitation
The invitation is cancelled immediately. The recipient can no longer accept it. If you change your mind, you can send a new invitation to the same email address at any time.
