The Key Factor: Mutual Agreement
If you and the Job-Poster mutually agree to cancel through the HelperGen platform, there are no penalties. This is always the best first step if your plans change.
If You Cancel Without Mutual Agreement
If you cancel a job without the Job-Poster's agreement, the outcome depends on the timing:
Cancellation MORE than 24 hours before the service:
A strike will be added to your account.
Cancellation WITHIN 24 hours of the service:
A strike will be added to your account.
A "Late Cancellation" badge will appear on your public profile for 14 days.
Important Note on Gen Points:
Once you are officially hired for a job, the Gen Points used to apply are considered successfully spent and are non-refundable, regardless of whether the job is completed or cancelled.
