What This Button Reports
For a service provider, Report No Show means you arrived for an accepted job but the job poster was unavailable. Use it only after you have arrived and made reasonable attempts to reach the job poster.
Although the job-poster button has the same label, your button starts a different workflow. It creates a pending report for the job poster to answer. It does not add a No Show badge to the job poster and does not start a dispute immediately.
When the Button Becomes Available
The report is available only for your own accepted application with a proposed start date and time. The job card shows a countdown first, and Report No Show becomes active 20 minutes after the proposed start time.
You cannot create a duplicate while a report is already pending, and you cannot start this report after an offline dispute is already active for the job.
How to Report the Job Poster
- Open Scheduled Jobs or Upcoming Work on your provider dashboard.
- Wait until the button becomes active, 20 minutes after the scheduled start.
- Click Report No Show and verify the service, job poster, scheduled time, and location.
- Confirm the report.
Keep your evidence in HelperGen wherever possible: send arrival messages in the job conversation and preserve timestamps, location details, and photos showing that you attended the service location.
What Happens After You Report
The report is saved as pending and the accepted job remains accepted. Both you and the job poster receive immediate notifications and email confirmations. The job poster then has 24 hours from the report time to act.
This first step does not create a provider strike, does not add a badge to the job poster, and does not immediately start an offline dispute.
How the Job Poster Can Respond
The job poster sees Agree and Disagree options while the 24-hour window is open.
- Agree: The web flow opens Cancel Job. The job poster can proceed with the late-cancellation option, which uses a 30% penalty, or request a mutual cancellation. The report stays visible until the chosen cancellation action is completed.
- Disagree: An offline dispute starts immediately in the late-cancellation penalty mode.
- No response within 24 hours: The response window expires. The automated task, which runs periodically, marks the report auto-disagreed and starts the same immediate offline-dispute path. The poster cannot submit a late response after the deadline while that automation is pending.
What the Immediate Dispute Changes
When the job poster disagrees or the system auto-disagrees:
- The application moves to an offline dispute immediately
- This is the late-cancellation penalty path; there is no 72-hour voluntary payment window
- Any active No Show record that the job poster created against you for this same application is deleted
- Any authorized payment hold is released back to the job poster
- Gen Points already spent for the job remain spent and are not refunded
- An evidence package is available for the immediate dispute path
From the dispute flow, the job poster can settle by using Cancel Job and selecting a payment method for the 30% late-cancellation penalty.
If the Service Is Completed Later
If the service is successfully completed while your report is still pending, the pending report is automatically resolved and active no-show records for the application are cleared. This prevents a completed service from continuing to display an active no-show state.
