Report a Provider No-Show

What This Button Reports

For a job poster, Report No Show means the accepted service provider did not arrive for the scheduled service. Use it only for a genuine absence. This is not the same workflow as the provider's button, even though both buttons have the same label.

This report does not claim that the job poster was absent, and it does not automatically charge a cancellation penalty or start an offline dispute.

When the Button Becomes Available

The job must have an accepted provider and a proposed start date and time. The button displays a countdown before the service and becomes active 20 minutes after the proposed start time.

You cannot submit another report while an active no-show record already exists for the same application. The button is also unavailable after the job is completed.

How to Report the Provider

  1. Open the accepted service on your Dashboard or scheduled services list.
  2. Wait until Report No Show becomes active, 20 minutes after the scheduled start.
  3. Click Report No Show and verify the service, provider, scheduled time, and location in the confirmation window.
  4. Confirm only if the provider genuinely failed to arrive.

Preserve useful evidence such as in-app messages, timestamps, and several photos of the location. False reports may affect your account standing.

What Happens Immediately

After you confirm:

  • An active no-show record is added to the provider's account for this application
  • The record is for tracking and has a $0 strike amount; the report itself does not charge money
  • The provider displays a No Show badge for 14 days while the record remains active
  • Both you and the provider are notified immediately
  • The job card changes to a reported state so the same active no-show cannot be reported twice

When the Record Is Removed

If the service is completed later, the active no-show record is deactivated and the badge disappears for this case.

The record can also be removed if the provider reports that the job poster was unavailable and that separate report enters offline dispute. When that dispute starts, any active job-poster-created no-show record for the same application is deleted so it is not shown as an active provider badge during the dispute.

If the Provider Reports You Instead

A provider who arrived but could not reach the job poster may submit their own Report No Show report. That separate workflow creates a pending report — not a badge against the job poster — and gives you 24 hours to act.

  • Agree opens the Cancel Job flow, where you can proceed with the 30% late-cancellation path or request mutual cancellation
  • Disagree starts the immediate offline-dispute path
  • No response within 24 hours is treated as an automatic disagreement and the system starts the same dispute path shortly after the deadline
