How the Referral Program Works
HelperGen rewards you for growing the community. When you refer someone who joins HelperGen and completes their first activity (posting a job or completing a job as a provider), you earn Gen Points as a reward. Your referred friend may also receive a bonus on signup. Both sides benefit — you earn credits, they get a head start.
Finding Your Referral Code
To find your personal referral code:
- Go to Referrals in the main navigation menu
- Your unique referral code is displayed at the top of the page
- Your personal referral link is also shown — this includes your code embedded in the signup URL
Your referral code never changes. Share it in any way that works for you — text message, email, social media, or in person.
Sharing Your Code
Ways to share your referral:
- Copy link: Click Copy Link to copy your referral URL to the clipboard and paste it anywhere
- Share button: On mobile, click Share to send via your device's native sharing options (WhatsApp, iMessage, etc.)
- Email: Click Share via Email to open a pre-filled email with your referral message
When someone clicks your link and signs up, your referral code is automatically applied — they do not need to enter it manually.
Referral Rewards
Current reward structure (check the Referrals page for up-to-date amounts as promotions may change):
- You earn: Gen Points credited to your account after your referral completes their first activity
- They receive: A welcome bonus of Gen Points added to their new account
Rewards are credited automatically — you do not need to do anything after sharing your code. Gen Points appear in your Transactions history with the type Referral Reward.
Tracking Your Referrals
The Referrals page shows a live tracker of your referral activity:
- Total referrals: Number of people who signed up using your code
- Qualified referrals: Those who completed the required first activity
- Pending referrals: Signed up but haven't yet completed their first activity
- Total earned: Gen Points earned from all referrals to date
You can see each referred user's status (anonymized for privacy) and when they qualified. There is no limit to how many people you can refer.
Terms and Conditions
Important referral program rules:
- One referral account per person — creating duplicate accounts to exploit the system results in account suspension
- Referral rewards are earned only when the referred user completes their first qualifying activity
- HelperGen may change referral reward amounts at any time — existing pending referrals are honoured under the terms active when they signed up
- Referral Gen Points are subject to the same terms as purchased Gen Points (non-refundable, no cash value)
- Self-referral (referring yourself with a different email) is not permitted and will result in account suspension
